WOW. it has been nearly a month since i posted last. SO SORRY to those of you that do keep up with me, care about me and love me. i thought i was going to do this in ONE EPIC swoop of a post however there is too much to update on. so instead, i will do multiple posts and hope you will still come back and visit the next day. SO sorry. just really tired after a long day out with a dear friend. i'll start with the latest and work my way backwards, SO much to share.
REMINDERS:
i don't mean to start this post with a reminder or sadness. my brother's birthday was (would have been) on september 22nd. he would have been 45. he chose to take his right of celebrating his life away. he loved birthdays. all i could think about was now i will be older than him. that's him on the far left in the photo above. rest in peace dear brother.
HUGE thanks to those of you that donated money to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention. it meant a lot to me to have your support in this cause and in me. the walk is complete. and while i did it with mixed emotions and i thought it was way too soon to do something of that magnitude, i did it. thank you for your support!!
TEDx CrestmoorPark:
WOW. i was invited to the most amazing experience this past wednesday. TEDx is an extension of TED, if you haven't checked out TED talks, please do. TEDx CrestmoorPark was where 'locals' came together for discussion, inspire, share, encourage and motivate. i never thought i would be privy to a live recording of TED talks. the theme was: elevate.empower.engage. some of the best local entreprenuers came together for some amazing discussion. WOW. it was just what i needed for being empowered and keep me on the journey, on the path for growth and beyond.. HUGE thanks lori for allowing me to be part of an amazing experience.
okay then, that's a start...one day at a time after all. PROMISE to be back tomorrow with more. i head to the mountains tomorrow early in the morning with a friend to see kenosha pass. it's tradition for me to photograph the fall foliage and visit my gate that i photograph each year. it will be bittersweet in a way. i do hope that we are timing it just right to see the colors.
more tomorrow night...PROMISE.
hope you've had a lovely start to the weekend.
cheers, rache.
